Dr. Suzanne Holmes is a Guntersville native.  She graduated from Guntersville High School in 1987 and from there went on to Birmingham-Southern.  Dr. Holmes attended UAB School of Optometry and graduated in 1995, moving her family back to Marshall County.  She began working at the practice, formerly Long, Roberson, and Carboni, in 2000, and purchased the practice from Dr. Long in 2001.  In the summer of 2018, the practice relocated to Guntersville’s historic Southtown.

Dr. Holmes stays busy with her practice, two children, dogs, and her hobbies. After graduating from Guntersville High school,  her daughter graduated from Mississippe College with an Electrical Engineering and Chemistry double major, and her son is currently studying Aerospace Engineering at UAH.  Suzanne is a nature lover and in her spare time, you will find her digging in her flower garden, or spending time with one of her many many rescue dogs.  An avid outdoors person, she can also be found hiking, kayaking, golfing, or mountain biking.  Dr. Holmes enjoys time with friends and family, listening to live music, and attending church at Hope of Albertville Methodist Church, where she serves on the board as treasurer.  Dr Holmes is also treasurer for Family Services of North Alabama, a non-profit organization.
